Community Outreach
The NASC is currently looking for a national civic outreach foundation in which to partner in the near future. We will be asking for donations from individuals and corporations in regards to computer related equipment and supplies. It is our goal to provide these donations to underprivileged and disadvantaged people or groups at no cost.

The NASC is in the process of setting up an educational foundation to provide financial aide to individuals looking to pursue a career in IT. We are currently looking for donations from corporate accounts, Individuals and government grants. We are confident that this added help will be of great benefit to those entry-level IT workers trying to enter the IT work force. We hope this foundation will help in the elimination of skill shortages in the industry.

Philanthropic Activities
The NASC puts high emphasis on philanthropic activities and charitable work done by it’s members. Part of our website is dedicated to this work by our members so everyone can see what a great job our members are doing to help support our community and other members. Part of our plan is to assist in the creation and coordination of a “Extreme Makeover-style” event to bring technology solutions to low-income schools, shelters, senior centers, etc. We welcome ideas and suggestions from our members on who might benefit from these efforts. Also on our website we will have a section where the public can suggest on a write-in basis, who is deserving of our help.
Job Retraining Efforts
Another goal of our association is to coordinate job and retraining efforts with colleges, universities and governmental entities for the benefit of both our association members and the public. The large diverse member base of our association allows us to more easily find placement for the individual with newly aquired skills.
Industry and Membership Awards
Over the course of the year we will find time to recognize and award companies and individuals that show outstanding effort in helping their community and others. Several award categories will be created and awarded.
Member charitable contributions
From time to time, members will be recognized for their outstanding charitable contributions. This recognition will come in the form of awards, press releases and interviews to be covered by both our newsletter and space being provided on our national websites.
Awards for charitable contributions
The NASC is in the process of developing an award program for it’s members, associate, affiliate and corportate. Nominations are being accepted from both the public and our members so that we may pay tribute to those that have demonstrated outstanding commitments in both time and money to local and national charities.
